It was the summer of the pandemic when things radically shifted. All of us felt the wave of uncertainty, fears rising each day hearing news of more cases of COVID both in our country and across the globe.
But this shift wasn’t specifically about COVID. It was learning that someone close to me was dealing with a different kind of illness. A complex jumble of feelings brew inside when you are faced with multiple realizations:
